07. Summary
Selecting an engagement ring is one of the most meaningful decisions of your love story. It can feel overwhelming at first — but the perfect ring is out there, waiting to reflect your partner’s style, your shared values, and your future together. This guide will help you find it with confidence.
1. Ring style
The setting shapes the personality of the ring just as much as the diamond itself. Whether you prefer a timeless solitaire, a sparkling halo, or a modern three-stone design, the style should reflect your partner’s taste and lifestyle. Many couples find inspiration by looking at the jewelry their partner already wears — classic, minimalist, bold, or vintage-inspired.
2. Diamond shape
From the brilliance of the round cut to the elegance of the oval, the charm of the cushion, or the sophistication of the emerald, each shape tells a different story. Our diamonds are available in every cut, allowing you to choose the one that feels most personal.

3. The 4Cs
Every diamond is graded by Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat. At Everrings, we make this simple by offering only carefully selected diamonds that meet our high standards of beauty and ethics.
4. Shape & Setting
The style and setting of the engagement ring’s band is just as important as the stone that will be set on it. The ring should reflect her personal style: you may want to choose something that matches the jewellery she already wears.
Rings with wide, horizontal stylings are well-suited to long, slender fingers, while shorter fingers call for more vertical designs. An elongated ring can also flatter more generously-proportioned hands.
5. Colours
While engagement rings have traditionally been made in yellow gold, today you can choose from a variety of metals to match your partner’s style. White gold offers a sleek, modern elegance, while rose gold brings warmth and romance. For a naturally radiant finish that seems to glow from within, consider platinum, celebrated for its strength and timeless beauty.
Diamonds are most often chosen in classic white (colorless) — a symbol of purity and forever. But your love story is unique, and your ring can be too. From subtle champagne tones to rare fancy colors like pink or blue, the right stone is the one that feels personal and true to your partner.
6. Ring size
While it’s easy enough to have a ring adjusted if you don’t get it the right size the first time, it adds a special something if your intended can wear it right after your proposal!
If you don’t know your partners ring size, contact our sales team and we can send you a free ring sizer in the post so you can check. Alternatively you can take one of her existing rings to a local jewellers to check.
If this isn’t an option, try asking a friend or relative if they know her ring size. And if they don’t know, don’t despair – try (carefully!) measuring the diameter of your partner’s ring finger with a piece of string while she’s asleep.
To sum Up
There’s a lot to consider when buying an engagement ring – but we hope this guide has helped you to arrive at a decision that you’re both happy with. All that remains is for us to wish you all the best of luck with your proposal!
